Golden Bell Nominees

At tomorrow’s Board meeting, we will have a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions of our staff. This annual tradition will be an important occasion to honor the dedication, talent, and commitment that define our district community.

We will proudly acknowledge those employees who have been nominated for this year’s Golden Bell Award. These individuals exemplify innovation, excellence, and a deep commitment to student success. We are grateful for the impact they make each day. This year’s nominees are:

  • Bethany Bloomston, Core & Boost Teacher at MVMS
  • Sonya DeForrest, Teacher on Special Assignment at Tam Valley
  • Jennifer Foskett, 2nd Grade Teacher at Edna Maguire
  • L.J. Hudson, Administrative Assistant at Old Mill
  • Courtney Macomber, 4th Grade Teacher at Old Mill
  • Anne Malvaux, Administrative Assistant at Park
  • Brandon Mohan, Counselor at Park
  • Elizabeth Moyle, Speech Language Pathologist at Strawberry Point
  • Ashiya Yacoobali, Food Services Coordinator at Edna Maguire and Copier Aide at MVMS

Years of Service

In addition, we will recognize staff members who have reached significant service milestones with MVSD, including 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service.

These milestones represent years of dedication to our students, families, and schools, and we were honored to celebrate their enduring contributions.

Retirees

We will also pay tribute to those staff members who are retiring this year. Their careers reflect a lasting legacy of service, and their influence will continue to be felt across our district for years to come.

Each year, we celebrate our retirees by donating a book to the library at each retiree’s school site. Every book is thoughtfully selected to represent the spirit of the staff member it honors and includes a special bookplate, ensuring their impact continues to inspire students for years to come.

Our community is incredibly fortunate to have so many exceptional individuals shaping the lives of our youth. The care, expertise, and commitment our staff bring each day make a profound and lasting difference.
Please join us at the Board meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Middle School library as we celebrate the incredible collective achievements of your colleagues.

A brief reception will immediately follow the presentation.
